By the time I got into their rooms at 6:10 they had already started making beds, brushing hair, teeth, and getting dressed in that way special first day of school outfit!! :o) You gotta love a kid who sets an alarm and gets right up! They set alarms every day but it's only on the first day of school that they actually hear it.
Anyway, they eat breakfast and we go into the bathroom to do hair and I look in the mirror at them and say out load thank you Lord for these 2 beautiful girls. I get teary eyed and Riley says don't cry mommy and Reagan says I promise we won't grow up today mom! How cute are they!!
We take our pictures and get out the door and I can tell they are a little nervous and so I said would y'all like me to say a prayer for you... they both say yes... Riley says but you don't have to close your eyes mom... I said are you sure?? they started laughing and nervousness seemed to go away.
We get to Riley's school and we are doing good and I'm about to leave and I give her a hug and I catch a whiff of her hair and I got huge tears in my eyes..... Where did my baby go? She is soooooo BIG!!
So then we are walking down the hall to take Reagan to her school and she starts walking really fast - pulling me- and I said slow down... she says but I don't want to be late for school. How bout that my girl is ready for 1st grade. We get to her school and as I'm pulling into the parking lot I get overwhelmed at the thought of leaving another one of my babies at school. I get out and she is kinda hop walking and we get to her class take a pic with her teacher, she finds her desk and she gives me a kiss and says bye mom! I hurry out of the class before my tears run down my face ....
What I learned today..... Our girls are fine, they don't need to cling to me b/c they know I will be there with a big fat hug at the end of the day!!
I can't wait to hear all about their day!!
I love you girls!!!

So, now what do we do to fill the time? :-) I have plenty of organizing to tend to!!!!
