First game on a new team......

Riley had her first Perry Middle School game, and it happened to be an away game. The bus pulled up at the other school and the girls were cheering SO loud, it hit me at that moment ~ she is a part of a new team. These are the girls she will be playing with for the next 6 years if she keeps on playing. I got a lump in the back of my throat because I remember what it felt like to be a part of a team, I am so excited for her. She has been a part of many teams before but this just feels different, just a little more serious. Kinda like she has been called up from the minor league.

Regardless if it's a new school, new colors, it really didn't make a difference.... she brought her game. They beat the team 16-2. They only played 2 innings. Riley was starting pitcher and lead off batter. She had 2 strike outs, 2 walks and got an out at home. They didn't score while she was on the mound. She only pitched one inning. She had 2 hits and a walk and scored 2 runs.
Way to go "Greenie"

Good game ladies!!!
