What little girl doesn't want to look like a princess???

The girls were in a Christmas pageant on Saturday and they both did so good!
Riley has said ever since we moved here that she wanted to be in the pageant and every year she has changed her mind... well this year she went through with it. Reagan wanted to do whatever Riley wanted to do.

This is a pageant for only little girls that live in our county and it really isn't a typical "beauty pageant". They built up every single girl represented and called them all ambassadors of our county. The girls are judged on appearance, poise, interview, & punctuality. On their applications they had to list what activities they are involved in and what their interests are. The MC would ask a question about something from their application. (they told us last week what the topic of our question was going to be about) Reagan's question was about Hannah Montana and Riley's was about the play she performed in, in front of the Governors wife.

Our girls didn't place but they both had a good time and said they want to do it again next year! They both said they felt like little princesses and they looked so pretty!!! It was a wonderful experience for both of them. Darren and I were so proud of both of them! It took a lot of courage to walk out there and they both handled themselves beautifully!!!

(During the intermission we had strangers coming up to us telling us that Riley was going to either place or win the whole thing and we thought the same thing... she nailed it and was the picture of grace!!) Her little friend Kaitlyn came in 2nd runner up!!

Tracey - how did we miss this in our conversation yesterday!!!
They are gorgeous, I'm so proud and I wasn't even there!! Tell them the real winners are the girls who are gracious and graceful in spite of the trophy or crown. :)
Give them a kiss for me!!
Love you!!
