A Valuable Lesson.......

These 6 kids learned a valuable lesson today!!
Today my friend Shannon and I had a very traumatic experience happen to us and our children learned a huge lesson from it. We were standing outside of the elementary school talking while the kids were playing around us. We were standing in an area where the buses drop off (where there isn't supposed to be any traffic.... they had been chasing each other around and jumping off the curb.... just being kids and taking advantage of every second they had with each other. Well, we were talking and out of nowhere this car comes driving very fast through the parking lot and in the area that your not supposed to be driving. At the same time, Lilly jumps off the curb and is in front of this car.... the car had slowed down a good bit but she more or less bumped Lilly and knocked her down.... she is O.K. but still got scratched up. This rocked us to the core. I can't tell you how scared we were.... all Shannon and I could do was scream. I was shaking so bad, Shannon was shaking, and all the kids started crying. The girl that hit Lilly was a teenager and she was on her cell phone. She got out of the car and was telling us how she was running late and she is stressed out.... I know this freaked her out and I really hope it taught her a lesson. I know it taught all of ours about parking lot/road safety.

I'm saying all of this b/c we all need a reminder about driving in parking lots. Kids are unpredictable. Drivers are unpredictable. We all talk on the phone and do a million things while we drive and we are moms...we run late!!! Remember to slow down!!! It could have been any of us or any of our children. Lilly was very lucky and we can thank God for that!!!

When the girls and I were on our way home we were all crying and Riley said I want to say a prayer and she thanked God for saving Lilly.... How sweet is that!!! Thank you God for the lesson you taught all of us today.

OMG, how scary!!! Ugh. I'm so emotional after reading this - I can only imagine how it must have been to be there in person and witness such a near tragedy.
Thank you, Jesus for protecting and sustaining Lily and for Guardian Angels. . .
a very good lesson for all of us.
Thanks for sharing, Love!
Warm hugs!

What a valuable lesson to me today as I leave the house.

Love you to pieces!
